Kim Beggs, will be hosting a week long songwriting songcraft workshop for adult emerging songwriters from Monday July 13 - Sunday July 19, 2015, at the beautiful, isolated Yukon Historic Site: Fort Selkirk. Fort Selkirk is located on the Yukon River at the mouth of the Pelly River.

You can canoe there (half day's paddle from Minto Landing) if you are canoeing all the way to Dawson for the festival the next weekend after the course, or catch a motorboat ride to and from Pelly Farms.

I along with other song-craft artists who are recognized for their craft on a national and international level, will be mentoring all week long around scheduled activities. It is going to be an amazing experience and chance to relax, write, learn and have meaningful discussions between mentors and the participants about the craft of songwriting.

We will be writing new songs that are historically relevent and presenting them at Fort Selkirk on Parks Day which is on Saturday, July 18.

Each participant will be self sufficient in terms of camping gear, food and coffee etc. The cost will be tuition of $250 per participant. Space is limited.

Sign up will begin on Monday, June 8, when the applications are made available from my website.

This project has been made possible, thanks to On Yukon Time.
